Irish Muruch, an island off the west coast of Ireland, is central to this story of three generations of Irish-American women. Cliona leaves the island for Boston and returns years later with her daughter, Grace. The cycle repeats itself with the eventual return of Grainne who must heal the wounds that have torn her family apart.
