Summary
Bill Burridge returns home a stranger after months of torture in Santa Irene, a small South Pacific country. When his wife leaves him and his young son can't understand the change in his father, he realizes that he is going to have to reclaim his life if he wishes to move on. Then he is asked to return to Santa Irene when the new president wants to know the truth about past injustices, and he must decide if it's possible to bring back the memories and maintain his sanity.
