Feeling burned-out after eight years of nursing in Nicaragua, Kate breaks up with her gunrunner lover to return to the States. Stopping over in Guatemala, Kate finds romance with a Catholic priest and commits herself to supporting the human rights of homeless orphans and victimized indigenous people.
