The first part of this report contains an environmental overview and assessment of groundfish stocks on Georges Bank. Historical perspective, interim stock objectives, a stock status analysis, and fishery conservation recommendations are given for cod, haddock, and yellowtail flounder. The second part provides a historical perspective, stock structure & distribution analysis, fishery conservation recommendations, and observations regarding the sentinel fishery, biological factors & recruitment, and predation effects with regard to cod in zones 2J, 3K, and 3L (southern Labrador coast to northern Grand Banks).
