In grade school Enny and Orfe - two bright outcasts - become close friends. They are united in their teens when Enny becomes Orfe's manager. Orfe has become a rock musician whose performance includes her vomiting on stage. Yuri sees Orfe's performance and, struck by her angst, seeks help for his drug addiction. Yuri and Orfe's friendship leads to marriage with tragic consequences.
