Summary
Mushvau Innu - literally means "People Of The Barren Grounds". These people follow the migrating caribou herds. It is from the caribou that they mostly obtain the requirements needed for their traditional way of life. Some, however, have given up the old ways and taken to a modern lifestyle. Others are showing an interest in reviving old traditions that are in danger of extinction.

Forestry and silviculture. - Ravaged and stunted by repeated insect attacks the forests of Western Newfoundland are being groomed for the future. Giant rakes and firebreathing helicopters help clear unproductive stands while new trees are planted in enriched soil, a bold attempt to ensure the pulp and paper indsutry's future.
