Bonavista quality has become an important factor in the future of Newfoundland's fishery. Within two years all fish landed will have to be graded at dockside. Fisherman will have to bleed, gut and ice their catches at sea. A trial run for this sytem was carried out at Bonavista this past year.
 
Fogo Fishery - 1984 was an important year for the fishermen of Fogo Island and their co-operative.
