Walt Slade rode into Laredo, on the banks of the Rio Grande, and a feeling of doom rode with him. A few miles short of town, he had witnesses the murder of a man by a gang of killers, and he had been powerless to help. His feeling of doom was a good prophecy. Three times in the next three days the killers tried to gun Slade down. And then Slade discovered why this vicious gang of killers was after him, and he knew that he was fighting for his very life ... that they would stop at nothing short of death.
