Summary
This program, narrated by War Amps CEO Cliff Chadderton, who fought in Normandy with the Royal Winnipeg Rifles, highlights the Canadian contribution to the D-Day landings of June 6, 1944. Given one of the toughest objectives, right in the middle of the British sector, the Canadian troops got further inland on D-Day than any other Allied force involved in the taking of the Normandy bridgehead. This is a true story based on the diaries of Canadian soldiers involved in the battle.
