Summary
Knowing that she has Alzheimer's disease, the proud Madeleine, 72, goes to the shore of the St. Lawrence River with the intention of throwing herself into it. At the same time, ZoÔe, a 35-year-old lost singer, tries to escape from the guys who are chasing her for a drug debt. Madeleine intervenes unexpectedly and pulls her out of this mess. Shortly after, ZoÔe lets herself be convinced to accompany the septuagenarian on her last visit to the places and people who have marked her. Over the course of stopovers and encounters between Montreal and PercÔe, the two women developed an increasingly strong intimacy. But while ZoÔe seems to have finally drawn a line under her past, that of Madeleine begins to erode in her memory.
