The stallion Sedgewick is considered a man-killer, in 'The Singular Horseman'. He belongs to Elena Casimir-Jones, and she absolutely refuses to have him destroyed. Dyke Vincent, a young rider frustrated with all the talk about Sedgewick, sets out to ride the stallion and prove everyone wrong. In 'Sign of the Hawk, ' a hawk made of feathers is left pinned to Handsome Harry Delancey's unconscious victims. No one knows him, and no one can find him with the exception of Li Wo, who raised him.
