Heading for the International Spiritualists' Convention, John May and Arthur Bryant find themselves stranded along with dozens of other motorists by a massive blizzard and soon discover that a notorious killer is also stuck along the same remote stretch of highway, forcing them into a desperate race against time to stop him before he claims his next victim.
