Launched in 2008 by philanthropists Peter and Melanie Munk, the Munk debates are Canada's premier international debate series, featuring leading thinkers and doers arguing for or against provocative resolutions that address pressing public policy concerns such as the future of global security, the implications of humanitarian intervention, the effectiveness of foreign aid, the threat of climate change, the state of health care in Canada and the U.S., etc.
