The police officer David Lindholm is found naked on his bed with bullets through his head and stomach. His wife Julia, is suffering from shock and trauma, rambles on about a woman who she claims entered the house, killed her husband, and ran off with her son. When journalist Annika Bengtzon is assigned to the case, she must work against the clock to clear Julia's name and find the missing child, before it's too late.
