Set in a small town in Texas. Elvis & Anabelle is a romance between two unlikely lovers: Elvis, a young mortician and Anabelle, a beauty queen who wins Miss Texas Rose then collapses and dies onstage. After Anabelle comes back to life on Elvis' embalming table, Elvis helps her hide from the media and her overbearing mother. The two fall in love and set off on a trip across Texas where they discover who they really are and what they want from life. In the end, they realize that terrible tragedies can lead to magical, miraculous things.
