Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's classic character Professor Challenger is taking a beating in the London press due to his claim that living dinosaurs exist in Brazil. Reporter Edward Malone learns that this claim originates from the diary of Challenger's fellow explorer Maple White, who is missing. Malone's paper funds an expedition to rescue White and prove the Professor's theories that prehistoric life might still exist.
