Author Mark Warren is descendant of Anderdon Township (in Essex County in southwestern Ontario) pioneer Luke Warren. A collection of family histories, newspaper clippings and stories, maps and more than 100 images, this book chronicles the area’s history from 1790 to 1920. It was published to coincide with the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812. Mark Warren now lives in Dartmouth, N.S., He grew up on Texas Road near Hell's Corners, the scene of many of the colourful events described the book.
