During a thunderstorm, a strange being falls from the sky into a tiny village on a forgotten stretch of the Kazakh steppe. This man happens to have a pair of wings growing out of him, wings that are now broken. Many in the town believe this stranger to be an angel, and his appearance throws the rather subdued community into a number of crises.
