The three Babcock sisters and their mother spend a lot of time at a Mexican clinic across the border from their San Diego home. There the mother is receiving alternative treatments for her leukemia. Vanessa, the middle child and a talented pianist, is trying to hold her family together despite the painful loss that they all know is inevitable.
