Summary
Lie down the lions: Ellis, the American. Jean-Pierre, the Frenchman. They were two men on opposite sides of the cold war, with a woman torn between them. Together, they formed a triangle of passion and deception, racing from terrorist bombs in Paris to the violence and intrigue of Afghanistan - to the moment of truth and deadly decision for all of them.

Eye of the needle: In early 1944 in a secluded area on the east coast of England, American and British forces have constructed a "fake" military site. The Germans are meant to "discover" this operation through aerial photographs. However, a German spy has uncovered the deception and is trying to meet a German U-boat to report the Allied plan.

Triple: EGYPT -- where, hidden deep in the desert, a top-secret project to build a nuclear plant that will give the Arabs the bomb nears completion.
