Summary
When Nicholas has to miss training camp because of a very badly timed flu, his despair is followed by the determination to find a new sport. While his hockey mates are learning new skills and practising drills at hockey camp, Nicholas rounds up his other friends to show him the sports they love. He tries tennis, gymnastics, yoga, running, swimming and weight lifting. His friends teach him lots of great skills and Nicholas improves in every sport ... but with each new sport he also realizes he really does still love hockey best. On the day of hockey tryouts, Nicholas is afraid that while all his teammates were mastering their hockey skills, he was either sick in bed or doing other sports. Luckily the forced break from hockey, and all the new skills together actually improved his hockey game. Not only did he make the team, he got the position of starting goalie. And along the way, Nicholas learns that trying something new and getting some help from friends brings you right where you should be.
