Emma gets her groove back! She begins summer vacation attending group meetings for young girls battling eating disorders. Her relationship with Peter develops into a dreamy summer romance. And shes happy to see Snake and Spike back to normal. After the Nelson family trip to New York City, Emma also returns to crusading for the environment and tries to save a local park from being turned into a condo development. However, when she chains herself to a tree her relationship with Peter suffers, she stops eating properly, misses her group meetings, and begins to worry her parents again. Jimmy helps coach a team in a summer basketball league for teens. Danny and Derek are among the players in the league. Jimmy is in his element and enjoys coaching the kids until members of his team take a hazing ritual too far. One of the victimized rookies quits, and the other considers going to the authorities. When the head coach tries to dismiss the incident as tradition, Jimmy is torn between brushing it off himself or investigating further.
