Summary
:
Of Human Bondage: Philip Carey, a young medical student in Edwardian London, becomes infatuated with a cheap and vulgar cockney waitress, an affair which leads them both into mutual destruction.
A star is born: A famous but aging actor marries a young, starry-eyed movie hopeful. Soon, through self-destructive behavior, the actor's career starts hitting the skids, just as his youthful wife's fame blossoms. A deeply moving ending becomes inevitable. This film was nominated for seven Oscars, and won for Best Original Story!
