Summary
Marie-Douce and Laura, thirteen, have nothing in common. Marie-Douce is wise, effaced and kind, while Laura is popular, an unstable mood and does not always have harmonious relations with those around her. The only thing the two teenage girls have in common is having an absent parent. In fact, the mother of Marie-Douce, an acrobat, lives in Las Vegas, while the father of Laura, a soldier, is often abroad for long and dangerous missions. The two girls will, however, have to learn how to cohabit since the father of Marie-Douce and the mother of Laura fall in love. Laura will then try to sabotage her mother's new love relationship, while Marie-Douce will put herself in the habit of growing old and weaving to win the first time.
