When disgraced American anthropologist and self-appointed sceptic Dempsey arrives for a new assignment in Scotland there is nothing to prepare him for the magical journey ahead of him. Hired to research the legend of the famed Loch Ness monster, his scientific quest becomes all the more grounded as he encounters the small town charm of the local people – including innkeeper Laura, her young daughter Isabel, the local water bailiff and research assistant Adrian Foote.
