Summary
It was not stranded hikers or fishermen in distress who needed help, but a large humpback whale, which had become hopelessly entangled in a rope that had fallen from a fishing boat. Mary Borrowman and Chloe O'Loughlin tell the story of how the resident community of whale watchers sprang into action, and through the brave actions of two skippers, Captain Mike and Captain Jim, gave the whale its freedom.
