Summary
The author's second child, Alexander, was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder, and doctors told her and her husband that he wouldn't walk or talk. Eventually she comes across a US-based clinic that had been working to improve the lives of brain-injured children for decades. She ends up running a 24/7 therapy program for her son. And her efforts are successful as Alexander can now talk, walk, swim, play the piano, and go to school.
