A siren sounds in the night. Then there are the screams, the barking, the pounding of boots on the frozen ground…” In September 1939, when war broke out, Alice was 15 years old and full of dreams. She confides in her diary, writes letters to her grandmother, to the boy she secretly loves, to her best friend of the Jewish faith. She would like Hitler to disappear. Later, faced with the German occupiers, Alice feels the need to act: with her parents, she braves the prohibitions one by one, distributing leaflets, sheltering Allied airmen… But one day, all three are arrested. Alice is deported to the RavensbrÞuck camp, where a new form of resistance begins for her.
