Arielle Queen, a young orphan, lives with her uncle in a small town called Belle-de-Jour, where, at night, two groups of demons clash: the dark elves and the alters. Possessed by an alter, Arielle can appropriate, thanks to a medallion, the appearance and the powers of the evil double who lives in her. This pendant makes her one of the two chosen mentioned in an ancient prophecy. According to the latter, the Chosen will one day defeat the dark elves and the Quirks, then travel to Helheim, the citadel of the realm of the dead, to face the gods of evil there.
