When 17-year-old CesÔaria does not come home after a night out, she is not missed at first. The next day, her body is found at the foot of 'The End of the World', a cliff at the very tip of the Algarve. The Portuguese girl, who was friends with many of the Dutch people staying in the region, appears to have been killed. The police soon have a number of suspects in mind: her jealous Portuguese ex-boyfriend Ricardo, the Dutch boy Mees who is on holiday with his father, and the old hermit Sven, who has lived in the region for years.
