Summary
It is the post pandemic world and a small cadre of powerful, faceless eco-terrorists are bent on saving the world their own way - by simultaneously blowing up 12 large radio-active bombs in the 12 largest shipping ports up and down the eastern seaboard of the US. A low-level CIA bureaucrat files a report that notes an unusual pattern of movements of a specialized North Korean railcar designed to carry radioactive material. An alert senior CIA specialist reaches out to some old friends he used to work with back in the day, Blake and Kat Zane. They are now independently wealthy and have started a new venture, The Clean World Foundation. Working off their super-sophisticated ocean yacht, Dauntless, they are currently working on a project cleaning plastic from the Sea of Japan and agree to be the CIA's eyes and ears on the mysterious North Korean activity. Bit by bit, they start piecing together the horrific plot and race across the world and against time to prevent the unimaginable from becoming reality.
