This is the ongoing story of a boarding house in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, in the late 1940's and the assortment of unique characters that make up its clientele. The culture and social norms of the day are interwoven into the storyline. Sometimes dramatic, sometimes romantic, often humorous, and always interesting, the interactions between the various boarders parallels that of a large family as the story progresses day by day.
