Upon learning of the death of his unknown father, whom he found in the morgue, the orphan Wilfrid decides to offer him a burial in his native country. Then begins a journey at the end of the night which leads him to a world devastated by the horrors of war, where the cemeteries are full, where this man's loved ones reject his remains, which will end their perish in the arms of the sea. Through the painful encounters he encounters on this occasion, Wilfrid sets out to rediscover the very foundation of his existence and his identity.
