When Skar awakens after years of sleep put into him by the priests of the Sacred Mountain, his homeworld of Enwor has completely changed. The Satai, fighters for good and justice, have seemingly allied with the evil, reptilian Quorrl and are terrorizing the human population. People are fleeing in droves, leaving all their belongings behind, to neighboring countries that are still peaceful. Skar helps them, and he vows to do everything he can to destroy his Satai brothers. And so he receives a terrible assignment. He has to kill his own son, incarnation of apparent evil, to save the world. But only after he has carried out this task does he realize that he himself represents the threat to the world: that unknown powers want to make him their tool.
