Summary
A father's death forces two very different sisters to share a few days in an empty house that gradually receives more and more ghosts that are very personal to each. The past is imposed while the present threatens to fall apart. The attempt to rebuild a life: coexistence, struggle, tension, and both individual and collective crises. The need to set down roots, to find a place of belonging, and an identity in which to feel comfortable in. In this novel Lara Moreno speaks of the guilt, of the emotional baggage that a family carries, and thus invites us to reflect on anxiety, pain, and the loneliness that life condemns us to. Is freedom possible? Is it possible to reset your identity to the circumstances that you've been dealt and not get lost along the way? Is it possible to find something to believe in when all economic, emotional, individual, family, political, and even one's own certainties seem to tumble?
