Summary
This book is part of an amusing documentary collection that aims to introduce the reader to a historical character, while embellishing the lesson with humorous comments located in speech bubbles. A collection that echoes the very popular documentary series "Did you know?" published by the same publisher. The documentary texts are reduced to the essentials and they punctuate the bottom of the pages, mainly illustrated with caricatural stagings, in a synthetic comic book style. This issue describes the life of Rosa Parks, a black woman who refused to give up her seat to a white man on a bus in 1955. She thus became a symbol of black equality in the United States and fought all her life against racism and discrimination.
