Tomar, the Siberian tiger, was born on November 14, 1988 at Assiniboine Park Zoo in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He arrived at the Moncton Magnetic Hill Zoo in April 1989 when he was five months old. In January 2007, Zoo personnel announced that the tiger was ill. Later it was determined that he suffered from impaired renal function. He died on December 9, 2007.
