Defying gravity.

Miranda is a wry-humoured, thirty-something TV news producer who is about to find herself on one emotionally rocky road trip. Ditched by her fiancÔe on a mountaintop in the Canadian Rockies, Miranda is soon befriended by Indrin, a hippy-haired short order cook with aspirations to the priesthood. He's looking for a lift to the west coast and Miranda decides he'll be the perfect new travel companion. But, as soon as they hit the road, their plans are rerouted again when a small town priest asks them to help Edmond Rebero, a Rwandan refugee who has been working in Canada as a tree planter since escaping the genocide in his country. Together, they set in motion a dramatic and moving voyage of emotional and spiritual self-discovery -- a voyage that will change all three of their lives.
