Salmon for a rocky river. -- A waterfall at the mouth of Rocky River in St. Mary's Bay keeps the salmon from going upstream. Because of new developments, the situation may change over the years.

Placentia Bay at lobster time. -- They still go back to the abandoned communities in Placentia Bay, some to fish, some to picnic, some to remember the old days - the days before centralization. We go back this year too - at the peak of lobster season. We'll roam through Woody Island, go lobster fishing and visit a fisherman who abandoned the ice-bound northern coast to find a home for himself on this "far greater bay".
