Upon seeing a helicopter crash in the distance, Rick, Michonne, and Glenn, leave the prison to search for it. Their search brings them to a small town called Woodbury where a large, well-armed and well-organized group of survivors have taken refuge, led by a man called the Governor. The Governor takes them prisoner and interrogates them, mutilating Rick and raping and torturing Michonne.
