On a summer morning, reporter Lucy Stone learns that her friend Sue's daughter will marry a dot-com millionaire at Sue's Maine home. Then the prospective in-laws appear and try to take over the wedding, the groom drowns, and Sue finds herself the leading suspect. Lucy rushes to the rescue.
