Lee has given Des Palmer up because he is insanely jealous. When she goes out with Roy, Des stabs him. Roy dies from the wound, but Des pleads that Lee had provoked him by going out with Roy almost on the eve of their wedding. He is sentenced to five years in prison, and when he is released Lee is terrified. She is now happily married to Brett and is afraid that Des will harm him or herself. Her suspicions are confirmed when she discovers Des is keeping a watch on her.
