Known as the "Bard of Prescott Street", Johnny Burke was a character about town in St. John's from the early 1900's to the 1930's. Well known as an auctioneer, theatre and song impressario, his fame stemmed from his song writing. Included in his work was the famed "Kelligrews Soiree". This dramatization of life includes a performance of several of his songs.
