Summary:
A frog starts life as a tiny black egg in a ball of jelly. The egg hatches into a tadpole which grows four legs and loses its tail. Finally, it leaves the pond as an adult frog. Toads, newts, and salamanders have a similar life cycle, but an axcolotl always looks like a tadpole, even as an adult.
