Raised in the Pacific Northwest, Dinah Miller is no stranger to hardship or adventure. When her father, Nelson, announces his plans to go prospecting for gold in the Yukon, she intends to accompany him. She is bitterly disappointed, therefore, when he refuses her company. When her always-reliable father fails to return home on the expected date, Dinah is alarmed and determines to search for him.
