This tender coming-of-age story is set on "the edge of the world"--a small town in Canada--where a young boy lives with his poor but loving family. His life is full of the adventures, mishaps, questions, and convictions common to many of his peers. But then he discovers a hidden stash of money--and more trouble than he thought possible. As he struggles with the temptation to keep the money and tries to unravel the mystery of its origin, he discovers an even greater mystery--the mystery of the grace of God as it is expressed through a small community of believers.
