Iris Hancock is skinny, pimply and lonely, and a misfit at school. Then she finds a friend in a supply teacher, Ms Green, who whips up a magic potion to make Iris beautiful. It is successful, but then Ms Green expects some kind of recompense, and this leads Iris into serious danger.
