The latest Andy Carpenter mystery, following HOUNDED. Lawyer Andy Carpenter is awoken one night to a phone call alerting him there has been a break-in at the Tara Foundation and a dog has been stolen. All of the dogs that are rescued are given collars with GPS tracking capabilities, so Andy knows he'll be able to track down the missing dog. He follows the signal to a house in downtown Paterson, and sure enough, the dog is there... standing right next to a dead body. The man had been killed mere minutes earlier by a gunshot. Could it be a coincidence? Or could the dog theft somehow be connected to the killing?
