In the 18th century, there is a world-spanning quest for the infinite book. A Slovakian count, a Venetian kabbalist, composer Antonio Vivaldi and a London printer, Nicholas Flood, are all haunted by an event in the past and are seeking knowledge and immortality through the power of books.
