Fifty-year-old Mary Elisabeth Davis has been living by her late husband's rules and keeping secrets from her grown daughter. Just as she begins to question whether her life is really worth living, a framed motto she finds causes her to think about what might have been. It causes her to question her choices and torments herself over an old flame in Paris. But perhaps the motto's message is that it's never too late.
